Laura & Alex | Montage, Laguna Beach

There is nothing more Californian than having a romantic beach side wedding like Laura and Alex did this past october. I am so honored to have been a part of this beautiful wedding and excited to share these beautiful images from Laura and Alex's wedding held at the pristine Montage Laguna Beach. The adorable couple met in 2010 and were friends for over a year before they started dating. Their love of sports brought them together and in their spare time these self-proclaimed nerds enjoy playing strategy board games. with one another.

Laura was inspired by the beauty of the beach and brightness of California sun and weather so she wanted to incorporate colors of mint and bright coral to stand out against the classic white that you find with most weddings. For her nuptials, Laura chose a Casablanca sleeveless trumpet-style wedding dress accented with lace and sequins and beautiful mint bridesmaids dresses. Other beautiful details from her wedding included mint-colored Jenga pieces for guests to write their well-wishes, mason jars filled with mint candy, and a dessert table filled with her favorite sweets.

When asked what her favorite part of the wedding was, she stated that it was "definitely just being able to marry my best friend and love of my life. It was just the icing on the cake that everyone we love and care about was there to be a part of the celebration!" Laura and Alex both currently reside in Seattle where she is studying for her PhD in molecular biology at the University of Washington and Alex works at Microsoft.

Hyerim & Jon | Los Coyotes Country Club, Orange County

Everything about Hyerim and Jon is unique and different, which makes this couple and wedding so special and beautiful. These two lovebirds met during college -- Hyerim being a diehard Trojan at USC and Jon an equally passionate Bruin at UCLA. Over the years, the two grew in friendship, and fell in love over a game of Words with Friends, and to top it all off, decided to have a daytime wedding! There is something about a daytime wedding that I love -- it must be the beautiful lighting they had all day, or the amazing sunset shots that they were able to take after their reception ended, or just being able to see all their guests so fresh and awake in the morning to come celebrate their wedding.

With over 400 people in attendance at their ceremony, Hyerim and Jon wanted to pay their respects to their parents and their friends at a separate adult's reception at the New Life Community Church, followed by a reception filled with their closest friends at the Los Coyotes Country Club. The couple wanted to incorporate their love for music and games by having board games set out during the cocktail hour, and how adorable are those jumbo Scrabble tiles for their table numbers? It was such a fun-filled and jam-packed day, so I am so thankful for Daniel over at Snapmotive for being there to capture all of the beautiful moments. Enjoy!

Everly Events Fall Styled Shoot | Highland Springs Resort

This last month has been a busy one with weddings and events all around, and at the same time I am so excited to share with you all that I have been a busy little bee working on and crafting a gorgeous styled shoot that I have been envisioning for quite some time now! As summer finally seems like it's coming to a close and we are approaching Fall, I wanted to design a look that goes well with some of the popular trends we have seen this past summer, particularly the beautiful blushes and whites we have been seeing so often. I really felt that these soft, romantic, and warm colors from the summer paired so well with the rich and dark tones of fall, and thus came about the look I had envisioned, which I think works perfectly for a California wedding. With that in mind, I selected the gorgeous Highland Springs Resort as the backdrop to this romantic and lush look. The endless olive grove trees and acres of lavender fields created the perfect backdrop for soft blues and pinks accented with dark purples, blues and gold accents.

I am so blessed to have been able to work with such an amazing team to help me put this together. I have to thank my good friend Jenny J for helping me style the shoot, Koman Photography, California Florals, Found Vintage Rentals, Theresa Huang Hair and Make-Up Design, Sweet & Saucy Shop, Bella Bridal for the amazing wedding dresses, and the Highland Springs Resort for really helping me make this dream into a reality. And to top it all off, I had the pleasure of working with Tasha and Dave, the most gorgeous real-life couple I have had the privilege of working with! I just could not decide between two different wedding dresses and looks for them, so I decided to showcase both and get the best of both looks! I hope this photo shoot marks the first of many shoots to come. It was a struggle to choose the best photos to show here since there were so many beautiful ones to choose from - but I hope you all enjoy the gorgeous photos and feel inspired!
