Ekko Church Passover Seder

I am so privileged and blessed to be able to help design and coordinate events for Ekko Church, a place that I like to call home.  During this season of Lent, Passover, Good Friday, and Easter, we as a church practice the art of remembering and honoring what Christ has done for us on the cross and the life we have because of that. Christians all over the world celebrate the Passover Lamb that was slain for our freedom, and this year, we were able to celebrate our Passover Seder at the gorgeous Loft on Pine, located in the beautiful city of Long Beach.

With the help of our amazing church members, we hand-crafted and set-up each place setting, centerpiece, and décor to fill up the amazing space.  Check out the beautiful photos below shot by good friend, Bryan Yun!

If in recounting the Exodus and Passion we forget God, we fail to remember the Exodus and Passion no matter how many details of the story we line up in the correct order. We may tell a story of suffering and deliverance; and it may be a good story, a story of our people and our hero, a story that we find inspiring and that defines our identity. But we will have left out what matters most. For the memory of the Exodus and Passion is not primarily the memory of an exalted example of human victory over suffering and oppression. It is primarily the memory of God’s intervention in behalf of humankind.
